Job Creation - CSI

“Teaching people to fish is essential, sustainability is selling the fish they catch” - Craig Nelson

Unemployment in South Africa has reached endemic proportions; this structural problem is expressed by Barker (1992:71): “Unemployment is probably the most severe problem South African society is experiencing and it is conceivably the root cause of many other problems, such as high crime rates, violence and abject poverty....”

South Africa is in dire need of sustainable job creation. Our economy has despondently developed very unevenly. It is for this exact reason why South Africa does not have a viable second economy. In order to build a second economy, we need to deliver basic services and eradicate numerous challenges such as unemployment and increasing levels of poverty and lack of education. These can be eradicated by creating sustainable Co-Ops that not only assist South Africans with a dignified income but that have far reaching and crucial socio-economic benefits as well.

As part of South Africa’s national Government’s Priority Economic Goal Co-Ops must be adopted especially within rural areas. We need to uplift rural areas and by circulating money within these areas we will assist families from becoming detached through migration in search of jobs to the larger urban areas and cities.

“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings.

Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.”

– Nelson Mandela

In a nut shell, our job creation projects generate and stimulate any local economy by creating jobs in packaging and direct marketing, whilst offering truly fortified foods. The key is to generate skills development and sustainable job creation - enterprise development. The projects are a captive audience of people hungry for good opportunities.

We have worked closely with the Department of Health and Social Development over the years and have developed sustainable Enterprise Development Projects centred on the supply of fortified foods, skills development and job creation. If your organisation is looking to capitalise on valuable BB-BEE Enterprise Development points then give Power Foods a call and we will tailor make your GOVT endorsed project.
